An analysis of the meaning of religion for children and its impact on mental development shows that religion serves as a fundamental moral and spiritual framework in shaping children's character, personality, and mental health. This study was conducted through a mini-research (research library) using a literature review method for data collection. This research method uses sources such as books, journals, documents, and the like as primary data. Researchers analyzed and interpreted these sources to obtain the information and insights needed for the study. The results of this study include an analysis of the meaning of religion, its impact on children's mental development, the implementation of religious values for children, and the potential negative impacts on children's mental development. Overall, religion plays a crucial role in children's mental development by providing a moral compass and psychological support. However, its impact is highly dependent on the educational methods implemented by parents and educators. A balanced, compassionate, and tolerant approach will maximize the positive impact of religion on a child's holistic mental development.
