Assyfa Journal of Islamic Studies (AJIS)

Assyfa Journal of Islamic Studies (AJIS) is deeply committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all members of our academic community. In accordance with Scopus guidelines and DOAJ transparency principles, this statement outlines how we collect, utilize, and safeguard your information within our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Publisher's Note: Assyfa is published by CV Bimbingan Belajar Assyfa. The Publisher stays neutral with regard to jurisdictional claims in published articles and maps.

1. Information We Collect

Identity Data:

Full name, academic titles, institutional affiliation, and department/position.

Contact & Research Data:

Official email address, phone number, and researcher identifiers (ORCID, Scopus ID, WoS ID).

2. Purpose of Data Processing

The data collected is processed exclusively for the purposes of scholarly publication, including:

  • Facilitating a transparent and accountable double-blind peer-review process.
  • Managing official correspondence during editorial, revision, and production stages.
  • Verifying manuscript originality and preventing research misconduct/plagiarism.
  • Distributing article metadata to international indexing databases (Scopus, DOAJ, Google Scholar, etc.).
  • Internal statistical analysis to improve journal services and reach.

3. Publication & Public Disclosure

Consistent with the nature of Open Access publishing, the author's name and affiliation will be permanently displayed on the published manuscript. The corresponding author’s email will be publicly available to facilitate global scholarly dialogue.

4. Data Security

We employ SSL encryption protocols and advanced firewalls to protect our database. Access to unpublished personal data is strictly limited to authorized editorial staff members.

5. Data Retention

Published article metadata will be preserved indefinitely as part of the public academic record. User account data is retained until a deletion request is formally submitted.
