Peer Review Process

AJME strictly adheres to a Double-Blind Peer Review process. The general turnaround time is approximately 4-8 weeks. The steps are as follows:

  1. Initial Submission & Screening: The manuscript is checked by the Editor for adherence to the author guidelines and scope. Plagiarism screening is performed using Turnitin/iThenticate. Submissions failing this stage are rejected immediately.
  2. Peer Review Assignment: The Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to two independent, anonymous expert reviewers in the relevant field.
  3. Double-Blind Review: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's quality, originality, methodology, and scientific contribution based on the Reviewer Form criteria. Neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities.
  4. Editorial Decision: The Editor makes a decision (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject) based on the reviewers' reports and overall evaluation.
  5. Revision & Final Acceptance: If revisions are requested, the author must resubmit the revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response letter addressing all reviewer comments. Final acceptance is granted after revisions are approved.
