Correction and Retraction

Commitment to Accuracy and Integrity

AJME adheres to COPE guidelines regarding the necessity of publishing corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

Policy Procedures

  • Corrections: Minor errors that do not affect the scientific integrity or results will be corrected by publishing a formal Correction Notice (Erratum) linked to the original article.
  • Expressions of Concern: Issued by the Editor when there are concerns about the integrity of the published work but insufficient evidence for a full retraction.
  • Retractions: Articles are retracted if major errors, scientific misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication), or unethical practices are discovered. A Retraction Notice will be published and permanently linked to the original article.
  • Author Responsibility: Authors who discover errors in their published work are obliged to promptly notify the journal editor.
