Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

To ensure consistency and quality in the submissions to AOPS: Applied Observation and Pedagogical Studies Poster, authors are encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines:

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Language and Style
    • All submissions must be in English, using clear and concise language.
    • Authors should ensure their manuscripts are free from grammatical errors and typographical mistakes.
  2. Formatting
    • Manuscripts should be formatted using Times New Roman, 12-point font size, and double-spaced text.
    • Margins should be set at 1 inch on all sides.
    • Include page numbers in the upper right-hand corner of each page.
  3. Structure
    • Title Page: Include the title of the paper, the names and affiliations of all authors, and contact information for the corresponding author.
    • Abstract: Provide a concise summary of the research, not exceeding 250 words.
    • Keywords: List up to five keywords that represent the main topics of the paper.
    • Main Text: Organize the text into sections, such as Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
    • Acknowledgments: Briefly acknowledge any contributors or funding sources.
    • References: Follow the citation style as outlined below.

Citation and References

Authors should use the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style for all references. Below are examples of common citation formats:

  • Books
    • Author, A. A. (Year of Publication). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Publisher.
  • Journal Articles
    • Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, volume number(issue number), pages.
  • Conference Papers
    • Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year, Month). Title of paper. In Name of Conference (pp. pages). Publisher.
  • Online Sources
    • Author, A. A. (Year, Month Date). Title of web page. Website Name. URL

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission
    • Submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system.
    • Ensure all required fields and documents are completed and uploaded.
  2. Review Process
    • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
    • Authors are encouraged to suggest potential reviewers during submission.
  3. Revisions
    • If revisions are requested, authors should address all comments and return the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.
