Identity Data:

Full name, academic/professional titles, official institutional affiliation, and department or position details.

Contact & Research Identifiers:

Official email address, physical institutional address, and registered academic profile IDs (ORCID, Scopus Author ID, WoS ResearcherID).

2. Purpose of Data Processing

The personal data collected through JLEIR's portal is processed exclusively to maintain the integrity of scholarly publishing, which includes:

  • Facilitating a transparent and ethical double-blind peer-review process for language evaluation and pedagogy articles.
  • Managing secure communications with authors, reviewers, and editors during submission, revision, and production phases.
  • Verifying manuscript authenticity, confirming ethical compliance, and preventing publication misconduct (via Turnitin).
  • Distributing metadata records of published articles to major international indexes and databases (Scopus, DOAJ, Google Scholar).
  • Conducting anonymous readership and analytics to improve the JLEIR website reach and service quality.

3. Publication & Public Disclosure

Consistent with the rules of Open Access academic publishing, the author's full name, academic affiliation, and country will be permanently indexed with the published manuscript. The corresponding author’s email will be publicly visible on the paper to facilitate global scientific dialogue and collaborative research inquiries.

4. Data Security

We employ secure SSL encryption protocols and robust firewall layers to safeguard database entries. Access to unpublished research drafts and personal reviewer sheets is strictly restricted to authorized editors.

5. Data Retention

Metadata related to published research remains as a permanent, immutable part of the official international academic record. Registered user profile credentials are kept securely unless erasure is requested.
