Abstract

Pemilihan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pendidik harus adaptif dan mampu meningkatkan prestasi siswa, terutama dalam matematika. Penelitian ini menyelidiki efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas empat di SDN 2 Suntu Kota Bima, dengan fokus pada topik luas yang bernilai. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, kuesioner, dan tes, yang memberikan gambaran menyeluruh tentang keterlibatan dan kinerja siswa. Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang ditetapkan oleh sekolah menjadi tolok ukur keberhasilan. Model PBL diterapkan melalui kegiatan kelompok kolaboratif di mana siswa terlibat dalam memecahkan masalah nyata terkait pecahan, yang mendorong pemahaman individu dan kerja sama tim. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Awalnya, 60% siswa memenuhi standar KKM; namun, pada akhir siklus kedua, angka ini meningkat menjadi 85%. Siswa menunjukkan kerja sama yang lebih baik dalam kelompok dan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pecahan layak, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh peningkatan skor tes mereka. Selain itu, umpan balik kualitatif dari kuesioner menunjukkan peningkatan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari matematika melalui pendekatan PBL. Kesimpulannya, penerapan model PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas empat di SDN 2 Suntu Kota Bima. Penelitian ini menekankan nilai PBL dalam memupuk lingkungan belajar kolaboratif dan mencapai peningkatan akademik yang substansial dalam pendidikan dasar.
