Abstract

The current era of digital disruption demands that students possess technological literacy and complex problem-solving skills, where the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching is seen as an innovative strategy to enhance these strategic competencies. The background of this research is based on the fact that previous literature tends to focus on the technical aspects of games, while evaluations of strategic e-sports management that impact students' cognitive development and managerial behavior are still limited. This study evaluates how AI-based e-sports governance contributes to organizational efficiency and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets, particularly in the pillars of quality education and innovation. The main objective of the study is to map the latest updates in strategic e-sports management through a systematic literature analysis. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a PRISMA design, including bibliometric analysis of documents indexed by Scopus and Google Scholar using the VOSviewer and Publish or Perish tools. The results show that the implementation of AI has a significant positive impact on the efficiency of decision-making and scaffolding in team management, although it was found that AI has less direct influence on the development of gross motor skills. In conclusion, the integration of AI in e-sports management in higher education is not just a technological trend, but rather a strategic necessity to produce graduates who are adaptive to the sustainability of the future sports industry
