    Vol. 2 No. 2 (2025)

This edition of Vol. 2 No. 2 (2024) of the Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture is further comprehensive with the inclusion of key research entitled "Systematic Review and Policy Mapping of Zero Waste Initiatives: Policy Gaps, Supply Chain Efficiency, and Social Life Cycle Assessment in Post-Harvest Loss Mitigation." This article, written by Lili Dahliani (IPB University) and Rani Darmayanti (University of Muhammadiyah Malang), expands the scope of the journal's sustainability theme by highlighting the critical issue of post-harvest loss mitigation through a Zero-Waste approach and policy mapping. This contribution complements the edition's focus on Coastal Ecosystems and Biotechnology Innovation, emphasizing the synergy between supply chain efficiency, social impact assessment, and the achievement of SDGs targets, while offering concrete solutions to existing food policy gaps.

  • Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture (November)
    Vol. 2 No. 1 (2024)

Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture Vol. 2 No. 1 (2024), published in November, features four papers from seven authors from four countries (Indonesia, Afghanistan, Nigeria, China), representing five leading institutions. This issue focuses on three main themes: Coastal Ecosystems (especially Blue Carbon and Mangroves), Sustainability (SDGs 2, 13, 15), and Biotechnology Innovation. Research shows that mangrove conservation improves carbon stocks and fisheries, while the main gap is the limited integration of cross-sectoral policies (climate and food) and the need for increased synergy between modern science and local wisdom in ecosystem restoration.

  • Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture (May)
    Vol. 1 No. 2 (2024)

Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture Vol. 1 No. 2 (May 2024) contains 5 manuscripts from a total of 13 unique authors from 4 countries (Indonesia, Australia, Nepal, Libya), representing institutions such as Wisnuwardhana University Malang and Muhammadiyah University Malang. This edition focuses on Sustainable Innovation and Alternative Waste Management (compost/biochar), Aquaculture, and AI/Drone applications for pest control in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Key topics also include local wisdom-based agroforestry. This research highlights the need for integration of technology and traditional knowledge for agricultural advancement, while also addressing gaps in addressing the impact of parasitic infections on grouper fry to increase aquaculture productivity.

  • Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture (November)
    Vol. 1 No. 1 (2023)

Assyfa Journal of Farming and Agriculture Vol. 1 No. 1 (2023), this inaugural issue features 5 papers from 16 unique authors, representing 7 countries (Indonesia, China, UAE, Afghanistan, Jamaica, etc.) and 11 institutions. This issue highlights waste utilization (biochar and bioplastics from food waste), ecosystem protection (mangrove studies in Java/Tapanuli), and peanut disease management. The findings show great potential in bioplastics and biochar for agriculture, but the main gaps are the lack of long-term trials and analysis of bioplastic production costs and weak policy support for mangrove conservation.
