About the Journal
Journal of Student Physical Education and Sports Science (JSPESS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research, literature reviews, and innovative project reports authored by undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as young researchers.
The journal is managed and published by the Department of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR). JSPESS serves as an academic bridge to disseminate original findings and conceptual ideas that contribute to the development of physical education, health promotion, active recreation, and sports performance.
Focus and Scope
JSPESS welcomes original research papers, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses within the broad spectrum of human movement sciences and kinesiotherapy. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure objective and unbiased evaluation.

Initial Screening: The Managing Editor first evaluates all submissions for alignment with the journal’s focus, scope, and basic formatting guidelines.

Plagiarism Check: Every manuscript is checked for originality using Turnitin plagiarism detection software.

External Review: Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two independent peer reviewers who are experts in the respective topic. Neither the reviewers nor the authors know each other's identities.

Final Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board makes the final decision to Accept, Request Revisions (Minor/Major), or Reject the manuscript.
Publication Frequency
The Journal of Student Physical Education and Sports Science (JSPESS) is published semi-annually (twice a year) in May and November.
Open Access Policy
JSPESS provides immediate Open Access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
All articles published in JSPESS are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits anyone to copy, redistribute, remix, transmit, and adapt the work, provided the original work and source are appropriately cited.
Plagiarism Policy
To maintain absolute academic integrity, JSPESS enforces a strict anti-plagiarism policy.

All submitted manuscripts are subjected to a similarity check using Turnitin or other plagiarism detection tools before being assigned to reviewers.

The maximum allowable similarity index is 20%.

Any manuscript exhibiting high similarity, self-plagiarism, or redundant publication without proper attribution will be rejected immediately.
